And at the end we found a pile of bones that went back for miles...this must have been the rest of the bones that they weren't able to "stack".

The Catacombes
Ooooh shiver me timbers! It was a day for the dead. With our last day off we headed to a place Charles would never want to go. Elisabeth and I went to the Paris Catacombes. Way down down under the streets of Paris lie 6 million skeletons stacked in a neatly order. Creepy!!

This is basically what we walked through...walls and walls of this...for at least 30 minutes! Over 6 million bodies! And all we saw were femurs and skulls. Elisabeth and I kept asking "Where's the pelvic bones? Where are the spines?

And at the end we found a pile of bones that went back for miles...this must have been the rest of the bones that they weren't able to "stack".
And to finish off the day we walked about 8 miles through the streets of Paris where we came across: a huge cemetary, an art fair and thousand of roller skaters!!
And at the end we found a pile of bones that went back for miles...this must have been the rest of the bones that they weren't able to "stack".
