So this post is a bit late...
but at the end of July and beginning of August, by-chance, I took a whirlwind tour of the 3 most populated cities in the upper east coast. As I was expecting to spend the entire 2 weeks with Johnny in NYC (as I was tagging along on HIS business trip), I never expected to end up in DC or Boston. But after only 3 days of being in NYC John got an unexpected call from his work in Bradenton calling him home...thus leaving me stranded. With no where to go in NYC...my parents suggested I meet them south of DC and visited my beloved Aunt Sam & Uncle Jim on their farm. So for 4 relaxing days I got to know 2 barn cats (Mugsy and Bugsy-who weren't too keen on people before I showed up, but were lovingly changed by the time I left) and 2 horses (Winnie the Pooh and Sam Brown).
After four days in DC I took 2 China town buses straight to Boston where I met up with the Anderson crew!!! What wonderful hosts! I was delighted to find not just Luke & Kelly & Henry but Kelsey as well! We had a great time hanging out together and gallavanting around Ikea, Arlington and downtown Boston on the "Duck" tours!! QUACK QUACK!!
My last day I took the China town bus back to NYC for one night where I managed to pretend like I was staying at a large hotel near Madison Square Garden and check my luggage for a few hours while I stole away to see a Broadway show. "Spring Awakening" surprised me...and I loved it! All in all an eventful and fun vacation!!
